BEETS _ Strongest anti-inflammatory


Borscht - A Russian beet soup. I love this soup and haven't make it yet this winter. I guess I need to do so soon while it's still soup weather.

Beets contain a high amount of phytonutrients that act as an anti-inflammatory and prevent diseases. The strongest anti-inflammatory potential include betanin, isobetanin, and vulgaxanthin. These are all betalains – that give beets their distinct red color.
